About Calamity Jean

Starting as a husband and wife folk duo, Calamity Jean has since teamed up with former Hot Heads to form the 6 piece band you see today. Collectively we have played jazz, blues, bluegrass, folk, garage rock, punk, swing, classic country, power pop (etal.), all of which get stirred into our musical melting pot...the Americana way

We have been playing around the Twin Cities and surrounding area for the last 20 years. We enjoyed playing the Northeast Folk Festival at Grumpy's Bar every year and have appeared at the Minnesota Folk Festival.

A guitar legend, he taught himself how to play harmonica at 12 using Tony Glover's book. Former bands include Splat, The Strappin' Daddy-Os, Dog 994 and the Hot Heads

Eric "Buc" Nelson

Mandolin, Trombone

That sparkle you hear is \Buc on the mando! Formerly of Three Car Garage and the Hot Heads, and currently plays with the East-Side Lakers<

Across genres, Randy has helped anchor several groups around the Twin Cities, including the Hot Heads and the Saddle Sores
